When your ex wants you back, keep in mind that the beginning stages of getting back together will be very fragile, and you both must be very careful to make the other feel safe again. you both have gone through a significant amount of pain, so take care of one another.. My ex girlfriend wants to get back together, should i? so here is the story. we have been dating for about a month now and 2 days ago i broke up with her because i noticed she was hanging out and seeing another guy behind my back.. My ex and i recently broke up about a month ago. we were together for about a year. she has two kids (4 & 6) with her baby daddy. when we first started dating, she would sometimes be unsure about our relationship and break up, only to get back with one of her exes..
So when i hear people tell me " why is my ex contacting me if they don't want to get back together", i always have to explain to them that feelings and habits don't just go away after a breakup!. So i made a stupid decision and joined the army in the middle of an outstanding relationship with my now ex girlfriend. we were great together, but after going overseas for a few years she started seeing another guy and talked to me on and off.. Getting back together with an ex can be successful, but oftentimes both parties need space to re-ground and find themselves. most of the time, people go back to their past because they're afraid of the future..
