Wanted: advice on getting over breakup while pregnant page 1 of 3 (1, 2, 3) long story short: together 4 1/2 years, moved to where i am now at his request six months ago. january 2007 he promised if i got pregnant 'accidentally' he'd stick by me no matter what, and also promised to support me while i got my business back on track.. Some men just dont get it, and others know that getting a female pregnant puts them in a position where they have leverage over her. i cant even begin to count how many girlfriends- even guy friends i know that have been thru or done the same thing.. During my pregnancies ( i had a couple of miscarriages before dd) he showed no interest whatsoever - never knew how pregnant i was or came to scans etc, on several occasions made ''hard'' comments like '' i'm going to have to work for the next 20 years to support ''that'' ( ie my bump)..
